Essential oils are highly concentrated aromatic extracts that are distilled or expressed from a variety of plant material, including flowers, flowering tops, fruits/zests, grasses, leaves, needles and twigs, resins, roots, seeds, and woods. The use of essential oils for aromatherapy is ancient, dating back to the Egyptians use of essential oils for medicinal benefits, spiritual enhancement, and cosmetics. Modern aromatherapy was mostly influenced by the visionary work of Marguerite Maury (1895-1968), a traditionally trained nurse from Vienna who was fascinated by the aromatic qualities of essential oils. Maury found that essential oils could achieve a notable and identifiable connection between the mind and body.

The aromatherapy blends are grouped into one of three categories:

  • Calming and Peaceful – to help you relax and destress
    • Balanced Peace
    • Heaven Scent
    • Spring Floral
  • Invigorating and Energizing – to give you a boost of energy
    • Focus Pocus
    • Get Moving!
    • 12 Days of Christmas
  • Uplifting and Joyful – to lift your spirits and mood
    • Fresh Forest
    • Let the Good Thymes Roll
    • Thyme to Uplift
